This extremely effective and highly concentrated all natural skin brightening treatment combines the clarifying, antiseptic and skin brightening properties of kojic and azelaic acids.
Azelaic Acid is a natural material produced by a yeast that lives on normal skin, malassezia furfur (also known as Pityrosporum ovale). Azelaic acid has many uses in skin care, it is used as a topical treatment for mild to moderate acne and is useful for both comedonal and inflammatory acne. It is antibacterial - reduces the growth of bacteria in the follicle (p acne and staphylococcus epidermis). It is a scavenger of free radicals and helps to reduce pigmentation. It is particularly useful for darker skinned individuals that may have acne dark spots or melasma who may be sensitive to other skin lightening ingredients such as HQ. Azelaic acid is non-toxic and is well tolerated by most individuals. However, those with very sensitive skin or who suffer from eczema, may find it irritating to apply.
Regular use combined with sun avoidance gradually lightens dark (brownish) spots such as freckles and age spots or pigment in the skin that may occur in pregnancy or from use of oral contraceptives.

•Azelaic Acid: a grain- and yeast-derived compound that suppresses the growth of follicle bacteria, helps normalize disordered cell growth, is antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, and reduces melasma and acne pigmentations
•Kojic Acid: derived from Japanese mushrooms; effective inhibitor of melanin synthesis
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Patch test for allergy 3 days before using. Always apply a thin layer on the affected areas. Apply every other night for two weeks. Then apply nightly for another week. Then apply nightly, avoiding sensitive areas. Discontinue if no improvement is seen after 3 months of treatment. Sun exposure must be limited by using a sunscreen agent and protective clothing to cover lightened skin when using and after using this product in order to prevent darkening from reoccurring. This product may darken over time, which is normal.
